On the eve of the Vice Presidential debate, the impartiality of Moderator Gwen Ifill has been brought into question. Ifill is currently working on a book that “includes material” about Barack Obama. Ifill has responded to the criticism by saying that Obama’s story, which she has yet to write, is only a small part of the book, which discusses how politics in the black community have changed since the civil rights era.

So what is the title of this book about politics that Obama is only a small part of? “The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama”. Hmmm… I wonder if race and politics only play a small part in it as well. Oh, and in case you were wondering as to the planned release date of the book, that would be Jan 20th, 2009. Yes, that would be the day that the next President would be inaugurated. But that is just a coincidence I am sure.

First of all, let’s be fair here. To find a journalist that would be impartial, one would have to dig up a Quilting Bee Critic from a Nebraska farming town weekly paper. I’m guessing this is probably as good as it was going to get. No word from Biden yet if she is “clean” or “intelligent” yet, but I’m sure she is not going to make or break the debate.

Now, on to Gwenn Ifill. Why even play this game? I know over there in the Liberal Mecca that PBS is that boat might float, but the average American isn’t a mind numbed moron stringing along on every idiotic thing you people say. To rely on us to believe a book with a title that speaks of “Politics in the Age of Obama” isn’t about Obama is sheer stupidity. If it’s not about Obama, why not just say “Politics over the last 3 years” since that’s how long he’s been on the scene. Which brings me to “The Age of Obama”. Do we really need to keep this Messianic Cult nonsense going? He is simply a Senator. If he loses this race, he will simply be another failed presidential contender. “The age of Obama”? Would you really write a book called “Politics in the Age of Mondale”? I mean, seriously. Walter Mondale’s credentials far surpass Obama’s.

So to the Conservatives, do me a favor out there. Let’s not pretend that there was ever a legitimate shot at getting an impartial Moderator. And to the Liberals, understand how stupid you look when you refer to any period of time as the age of a Senator who hasn’t even finished his first term. And to my dear readers, I bid you a temporary farewell. I’m off to work on my new book of meatloaf recipes titled “Creating A Chef Salad”. Give me a break, Gwenn. In the event that you are not lying and this book is not about Obama, you are an idiot. I just wanted you to know that.
